Of the many rides that have come and gone from the Boardwalk over the decades, one was uniquely memorable – the Flying Cages. Between 1962 and 1972, you only rode on the cages if you were ready for a work out - and that took practice!
Fascination left the Boardwalk scene in 2008. Some guests truly mourned its Boardwalk passing! What was it about that game?

When you visit the Boardwalk today, you can enjoy a pleasant rest along one of three decks we recently added – one adjacent to the colonnade, another opposite the Looff Carousel and still another opposite the entrance to the Giant Dipper.
In the early decades of the last century, coming to the Boardwalk by train was THE WAY many thousands of visitors traveled. I’m too young to remember that, though I do remember the Sun Tan Special in its later years.
